Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett is coming back, but in an unexpected fashion. The iconic bounty hunter and his supporting cast from the Disney+ show are making the jump to comic books.
How is Star Wars’ Book of Boba Fett returning?
Marvel Comics has announced a new comic book adaptation of The Book of Boba Fett. The series will adapt the show’s storyline, so it won’t feature any new material with Boba Fett in it. The seven-issue comic book miniseries arrives on shelves on September 9, 2026.
Boba Fett’s return will be in a seven-issue comic book series written by Rodney Barnes and illustrated by Will Sliney. The series will see the return of other characters from the show, like Garsa Fwip, Dokk Strassi, Mok Shaiz’s majordomo, and more.
The comic book’s synopsis, similar to the live-action series, reads, “After escaping from the Sarlacc Pit, Boba Fett has taken over Jabba the Hutt’s syndicate—but does he have what it takes to keep Tatooine in order?”
“I’ve loved Boba Fett since early childhood!” said Barnes. “Adapting this series has been a complete joy, and I can’t wait for Star Wars fans to read it!”
