‘Furious’ Trailer Sees Emmy Rossum Hunt a Serial Killer in New Hulu Series!! Check It Out!!

Hulu subscribers were treated to a spell of good news this week when it was revealed that the streaming service, along with Netflix, was being put up for free as part of a larger bundling deal with the cell phone carrier T-Mobile. Hulu is already known for offering some of the best original movies and shows for one of the lowest prices of any service — the base plan is only $11 per month, making it one of the more affordable options compared to its counterparts. Hulu has plenty of popular flagship properties, including Only Murders in the Building, which has been steadily releasing new seasons since its premiere in 2021. No matter how many popular movies and TV shows Hulu has under its belt, though, the streamer is always on the hunt for its next big breakout project.

Hulu may have found its next weekend binge streaming sensation in a new true crime thriller series, Furious, which was officially announced this afternoon. The show premieres next month on July 27, and ahead of its debut, Hulu has unleashed the first must-watch trailer for Furious, which comes from creator and executive producer Elizabeth Meriweather. Emmy Rossum, best known for her roles in Mystic River, Shameless, and The Day After Tomorrow, stars in the lead role in the new Hulu crime thriller, and she also executive produces the show. Additional cast members include Lola Petticrew, Scoot McNairy, Quincy Tyler Bernstine, and Jake Lacy. Hulu has also released an official longline for the Bosch-esque crime thriller show, which reads as follows:

“Furious follows an FBI agent, Alice Black (Emmy Rossum) on the hunt for a mysterious and calculating female serial killer. Both walk their own paths toward justice, and as their lives start to intertwine, the line between right and wrong begins to blur.”

What Else Is Popular on Hulu Right Now?

The most popular movie on Hulu at the time of writing is Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die, the bonkers sci-fi thriller directed by Gore Verbinski and starring Sam Rockwell. Rockwell will star in one of the biggest animated movies of the year, Ray Gunn, which is coming to Netflix this December. The original Toy Story movie from the 1990s is also charting in the Hulu top 10 right now, thanks to the recent premiere of Toy Story 5, which has already grossed over $300 million globally. Sam Raimi’s Get Help has also been a Hulu sensation in 2026.
