‘Twin Crossroads’: Star Wars Confirms New Luke and Leia Novel for 2027!!

The battle to take down the Empire may have ended in glorious fireworks over the forest moon of Endor, but the journeys of Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa were only beginning at that moment. And while the sequel trilogy showed us where the Skywalker twins eventually ended up, there’s still a huge gap between Return of the Jedi and the birth of the New Republic that has rarely been explored. Well, we’re about to find out at last with a stunning new chapter for the galaxy’s most famous siblings.

Luke and Leia Return to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant

As Luke attempts to rebuild the Jedi Order, he wrestles with doubts over his ability to teach while still learning himself. Leia, meanwhile, struggles with whether she can fully dedicate herself to the Jedi path while confronting the knowledge that Darth Vader was her father.

The twins ultimately volunteer for a covert New Republic mission that sends them to Coruscant, where they infiltrate the heart of the former Empire. The official synopsis states:

Their quest begins at the Imperial palace, once the Jedi Temple, where they gain a new understanding of the former Jedi Order and Galactic Republic. The mission will be more transformative than either could imagine, as they discover the legacy left behind by their birth parents on a planet where some are still willing to hope. And though certainty is scarce, Luke and Leia’s faith in one another will help them each seek out the path they must ultimately walk.

Revis is no stranger to the franchise, having previously written The Princess and the Scoundrel, which chronicled Han Solo and Leia Organa’s honeymoon following Return of the Jedi.

Twin Crossroads will be published by Random House Worlds on April 6, 2027.
