‘Sterling Point’ Renewed for Season 2!!

Prime Video has had a wildly successful year so far in 2026, and it’s currently enjoying the return of its most popular action show, Reacher, which is now in the heat of Season 4. The series stars Alan Ritchson, and Prime Video was so confident that Season 4 was going to be a smash hit that the streamer doubled down on the show months ago, officially renewing it for Season 5. Prime Video also unleashed another wildly popular show earlier this year with the second season of Cross, which is perfect for Reacher fans who enjoy a little less skull-cracking and a little more methodical hunt for a dangerous killer. Similar to Reacher, Prime Video has already announced that another season of Cross is on the way, with Ron Perlman also joining the action in Season 3.

One thing Prime Video has done exceedingly well in the last few years is invest in YA (young adult) content. Shows like The Summer I Turned Pretty and Off Campus have become flagship properties for the streamer, and Prime Video has found another hit this month with Sterling Point. Prime Video debuted all eight episodes of the show as a binge back on August 5, and it quickly became one of the most-watched titles on the platform. Fans of Sterling Point have been asking questions about a potential Season 2, but it wasn’t until this afternoon that Prime Video finally made a decision about the future of the series. Prime Video announced today that Sterling Point has been officially renewed for Season 2, which will premiere in over 240 countries around the world on the streamer.

What Is ‘Sterling Point’ About?

The official synopsis for Sterling Point Season 1, which holds scores of 90% from critics and 85% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, reads as follows: “Sterling Point Season 1 is led by 17-year-old Annie Jacobson, raised in New York City with her twin brother and loving adoptive father. Annie’s life takes a turn when she inherits her mysterious grandfather’s island in Canada. There, she finds new friends, budding romances, and untold family secrets.” Sterling Point was written and created for TV by Megan Park, who also wrote Aubrey Plaza’s 2024 comedy, My Old Ass. Cast members for Sterling Point Season 1 include Ella Rubin as Annie, Amelia Hoeferle as Ramona, Jacob Whiteduck-Lavoie as Ellis, David Quinn Toye as Rory, and Bo Bragason as Oona.
