
A first look at Anna Kendrick and Seth Rogen‘s upcoming movie, Babies, has been revealed. The film revolves around a question too many women grow up used to hearing – “baby or no baby?”
Per the latest reveal from Vanity Fair, the exclusive first look shows Rogen and Kendrick’s characters in a still from the movie. Playing the roles of Aaron and Annie, the duo could be seen attending to a little girl. Both stars have a concerned look on their face as the girls cries in a washroom.
Speaking about the film, director Lauren Miller Rogen said, “I, as a woman, obviously have been asked that over and over and over again… It’s something that I spent a lot of time thinking about and exploring and talking about in therapy and just thought, Yeah, I feel like maybe I have something to say about this to be additive to that conversation.”

The plot of Babies revolves around a happily married couple, Aaron and Annie, who have been together for seventeen years. The couple is unsure about their intention to have a baby. Amid this scenario, the duo welcomes a house guest, portrayed by Kate Berlant, who moves in with her four-year-old daughter after a divorce. As the couple starts living with a child, they face the reality of being parents.
The synopsis of the 2026 comedy drama, per IMDb, reads, “A couple grappling with parenthood finds their lives turned upside down when their friend and her toddler move in after a divorce, giving them an unexpected crash course in raising a child.”
Several elements of the film are inspired by real events. The director of the film, who has also written the story, shared how 11 years ago a close friend of Miller-Rogen and Rogen lived with them with her toddler. Reflecting on their experiences, Lauren Miller Rogen said, “All of a sudden, we were not parents, but we were closer to being parents than we had ever been in a lot of ways, in just having a child in our house full-time.”
Seth Rogen is portraying Aaron, while Anna Kendrick is playing the role of Annie in Babies. The cast of the film further features Dan Stevens, David Strathairn, Sharon Stone, Ed Helms, Zach Cherry, Ashley Park, Issa Rae, Kate Berlant, and Dey Young alongside others.
