Liam Neeson Reveals He Won’t Star In a Horror Movie!!

Liam Neeson has done over 100 movies in his career so far, but there’s one movie genre he won’t touch. Best known for his role in The Action Renaissance, Neeson recently revealed the type of movie he would never do.

I personally just enjoy the process, being with fellow actors and wonderful crew,” Neeson told People. “I love that feeling of togetherness, you know, telling a story. No matter what the genre is, except horror. I won’t do horror.”

Neeson has worked with many different filmmakers and taken on a wide range of roles over the years. However, when it comes to choosing his next project, he leaves horror off his resume.

Though this was not the first time Neeson revealed his preference. Earlier this year, The Naked Gun star mentioned the same thing.

I’m a big believer in writers and the script. That’s the foundation stone, no matter what the genre. Except horror. I won’t do horror,” the actor said in January this year via Far Out magazine.

Liam Neeson’s career philosophy is less Hollywood than you’d expect

While Neeson mentioned that he enjoys the whole process of his role, he also said that a good script remains one of the most important things he looks for when deciding whether to take a role.

Neeson has also been open about the physical demands of continuing to work in movies at 74. He joked about seeing physically demanding roles and wondering whether the filmmakers have remembered his age.

Although his career philosophy is very different from what people would expect from the veteran actor. He made his screen debut in 1978 with Pilgrim’s Progress and has since appeared in movies including Batman Begins and Love Actually.

Neeson believes much of his career comes down to making his own opportunities rather than simply waiting for them.

“I believe you create your luck,” Neeson explained. “It’s not gonna come to you lying on the couch in your basement apartment in London… You have to get up and do something about it.”

Neeson’s latest action thriller, The Fix, is now playing in theaters.
