Marvel has brought together Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in the new poster for Avengers Endgame: Encore ahead of its re-release. The 2019 blockbuster, helmed by Joe Russo and Anthony Russo, is set to return in theaters while teasing the next MCU epic, Avengers: Doomsday.
The latest poster highlights the first six Avengers who built the foundation of the MCU for over a decade.
Marvel teased Endgame’s rerelease with the iconic tagline “Whatever it takes” as the official post read, “Reassemble the team in theaters when Avengers Endgame: Encore returns September 25.”
The new poster highlights the legacy of the original Avengers
The first Avengers movie came out in 2012 and featured Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, and Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye.
It only makes sense that Avengers: Endgame Encore’s new poster has kept all original characters in focus while emphasizing their iconic legacy in the blockbuster franchise.
Most of the Infinity Saga events revolved around these characters as the Avengers expanded with more superheroes in each subsequent installment.
Endgame’s ensemble cast also features Don Cheadle as James Rhodes/War Machine, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, Brie Larson as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Stephen Strange, Josh Brolin as Thanos, Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts, Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, and more.
While retelling the epic conclusion of the Infinity Saga, Encore will offer a sneak peek of Doomsday. The highly anticipated film is set to hit theaters on December 18, 2026.
Joe and Anthony Russo have already made it clear that it’s basically mandatory for fans to watch Endgame’s rerelease before Doomsday. “There’s a very strong connection between Endgame and Doomsday. And if you see the movie in theaters, you’re going to see some new footage that uh that that illustrates that connection for you.”
Avengers: Endgame Encore will arrive in theaters on September 25, 2026.
