Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky reveals first poster for the 50th anniversary rerelease
The official Rocky X (formerly Twitter) account revealed the first poster for the film’s 50th anniversary rerelease. The poster features the iconic silhouette of Stallone atop the Philadelphia Museum of Art steps. It confirms the 4K restoration will screen in theaters worldwide from November 7 through November 11, 2026.
The theatrical event will include an exclusive featurette alongside the restored film. This featurette features behind-the-scenes footage, clips, and a first look at I Play Rocky. Tickets for U.S. screenings are now on sale through Fathom Entertainment.
Fans attending the event can also purchase limited-edition concession vessels at select theaters. These include a Rocky 50th Anniversary Staircase Popcorn Bucket and a 130 oz. round popcorn tin. A 44 oz. beverage cup will also be available. Availability and purchase limits may vary by location.
The rerelease arrives just days before I Play Rocky opens in theaters on November 13, 2026. Amazon MGM Studios will distribute the biopic from Baha Productions and Fireside Films. Academy Award winner Peter Farrelly directs the film about the making of the original Rocky.
Anthony Ippolito stars as Stallone, who wrote and starred in the 1976 classic. AnnaSophia Robb plays Stallone’s then-wife Sasha Czack in the film. Stephan James portrays the late Carl Weathers, who played Apollo Creed in the franchise. The cast also includes Toby Kebbell, P. J. Byrne, Jay Duplass, and Matt Dillon.
Peter Gamble wrote the screenplay for the biopic. Toby Emmerich, Christian Baha, Peter Farrelly, Paul Currie, and Michele Weiss produced the film. Farrelly’s previous directorial credits include Green Book and There’s Something About Mary.
