The Night Agent Season 4 has finally wrapped production, and Netflix has some major announcements. Created by Shawn Ryan, the thriller is now moving toward its final chapter, which started in 2023.
Netflix confirmed that filming for Season 4 has finished, sharing a behind-the-scenes video from the set. The streamer had previously announced that the upcoming season would be the show’s last. Production wrapped in Los Angeles after beginning in May, and the final season will premiere in 2027.
The decision to end the series with Season 4 aligns with Ryan’s plans to give Peter Sutherland’s story a definitive conclusion. The character began the series as an FBI agent assigned to monitor an emergency phone line in the White House basement before becoming involved in increasingly dangerous intelligence operations.
What Netflix has revealed about Peter’s final mission so far
Netflix has confirmed that Season 4 will take Peter’s story to Los Angeles. According to Netflix Tudum, the new season will primarily take place in Los Angeles, where Peter will embark on his final assignment.
Luciane Buchanan is also returning as Rose Larkin. Rose was introduced in the first season as a tech entrepreneur who became involved with Peter after calling the Night Action emergency line. Her return brings the character back after Buchanan did not appear in the third season.
Li Jun Li and Trevante Rhodes are joining the cast for the final season. Their characters will be involved in Peter’s final assignment as he deals with the new threat and the challenges surrounding his work as an intelligence operative.
Netflix has not announced a specific release date for Season 4 beyond its 2027 window. With production now complete, the series is moving into post-production before its final season premieres on the platform. The final season will bring Peter Sutherland’s story to a conclusion after four seasons of espionage and international missions.
