The Talk to Me horror universe is expanding, with the first-look poster for the spin-off recently revealed. The release window for the upcoming series has also been updated.
According to the latest announcement, I Let You In will be an immersive series coming to Meta platforms. An exclusive report from Variety states that the series has been specially crafted for Meta’s Quest headsets and VR Glasses. The upcoming horror show, which will have six episodes, is set for a spring 2027 release.
Directed by Craig William Macneill, the official synopsis of the series reads, “A group of young travelers chasing the ultimate party in Ibiza as they become hooked on the thrill of conjuring spirits — a supernatural high deadlier than any drug.” I Let You In stars Charlie Hiscock, Aubri Ibrag, Raff Law, Sofia Hublitz, Charlotte Maggi, and Julio Peña.
What other Talk to Me projects are in the works?
Alongside the upcoming series, directors Danny and Michael Philippou have officially confirmed two other projects within the Talk to Me universe. According to reports from The Hollywood Reporter, the directors revealed that they secretly shot a full, short-form prequel. The plot of the film’s prequel centers on the character Duckett, who appeared in the opening scene of the first film. The filmmakers further shared that the prequel is narrated through the perspective of mobile phones and social media.
Adding to that, A24 has recently greenlit a sequel project titled Talk 2 Me. The Philippou brothers have written two entirely separate scripts for the sequel, per Bloody Disgusting. One of the two scripts will follow the characters who survived from the first film, and the second will focus on a new set of characters elsewhere in the world.
Brandl and Davis for XRTV serve as the executive producers for I Let You In alongside Danny and Michael Philippou. In addition, Samantha Jennings, Kristina Ceyton, and Daniel Negret for Causeway Films; Jeff Rich, Sara Malkin, Martha Tian, and Eric Cheng for Meta; and Andreas Michael Wentz and Juan Antonio Cano Trujillo for Sur Film are also contributing as executive producers.
