‘Prodigies’: First Images Tease the New Ayo Edebiri & Will Sharpe led Apple TV Series!! Check It Out!!

Apple TV unveiled a first look at its upcoming series Prodigies, starring Ayo Edebiri and Will Sharpe. The romantic comedy follows two former child prodigies as they reassess their long-term relationship and the lives they have built.

Prodigies will premiere on Wednesday, February 10, 2027, with its first two episodes. The seven-episode debut season will release new episodes weekly, with the finale arriving March 17.

The newly released first-look images feature Edebiri and Sharpe in their respective roles. One photo shows Edebiri as a teacher in a classroom full of kids. The other shows Sharpe with a pensive look in his eyes, standing against the gorgeous backdrop of a city skyline glowing at sunset. A third photo shows the pair together on a bridge.

What is Apple TV’s Prodigies about?

Prodigies is a romantic comedy series created, written, and directed by Will Sharpe. The series follows former child prodigies Didi (Edebiri) and Ren (Sharpe), now in their 30s, as they reassess the relationship they began when they were nine.

The official synopsis of the series adds, “From London to Tokyo by way of Virginia, this unconventional take on a romantic comedy explores ideas of potential, ambition and the universal complexities of long-term relationships. As they begin to question whether their very ordinary existence is living up to the extraordinary promise of their childhood, they find themselves in a new and terrifying kind of chaos.”

In addition to Edebiri and Sharpe, Prodigies’ ensemble cast includes John Malkovich, Tobias Menzies, Yumi Asō, Maria Bakalova, Sophia Di Martino, Rina Sawayama, Reece Shearsmith, Dame Meera Syal and Andrene Ward-Hammond.

Edebiri and Sharpe also serve as executive producers, with Sharpe producing through Fukuda Films. Other executive producers include Naomi De Pear, Katie Carpenter, and Jane Featherstone of Sister Pictures.
