Marvel Studios may be scaling back overall content for its Disney Plus TV division, but the studio has still given the world some great TV shows since it opened its doors back in 2021. Dominating streaming charts around the world right now is VisionQuest, the new series starring Paul Bettany as Vision opposite James Spader as Ultron — Spader has not featured in an MCU role since Avengers: Age of Ultron, and fans are tuning in every week as new episodes of VisionQuest drop to see more of his electric chemistry with Bettany. VisionQuest continues the story of Wanda (played by Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision that first kicked off the MCU on Disney Plus in 2021 with WandaVision. The story continued later with Agatha All Along, which introduced one of Wanda and Vision’s children, Billy Maximoff.
Agatha All Along was widely loved by both critics and audiences, but Marvel never publicly decided if the show was going to be renewed or canceled. This has led most people to assume that a second season isn’t happening, and while this may be the case, there’s another show similar to Agatha All Along that’s on a different trajectory. Back on October 2, all episodes of Coven Academy were added to Disney Plus’ streaming library, and the show has been a hit around the world, as well as on Hulu in America. This left Disney with no choice but to double down on the show this afternoon and announce that it has been officially picked up for Season 2. No word yet on when Coven Academy Season 2 will be released, but after Chapter 1 earned over 20.3 million views during its initial period, it’s a fair bet the studio would like to see it return sooner rather than later.
