Los Angeles, CA (Nov 4th, 2026) Cooper Tomlinson, who recently starred in Blumhouse/Focus Features’ global box office sensation Obsession, is set to star in the mystery-thriller Seeker, opposite Jessica Rothe (Happy Death Day, Happy Death Day 2U, upcoming River) and Mika Abdalla (Prime Video’s Off Campus, HBO Max’s The Pitt, Snack Shack), with acclaimed filmmaker Adam Rehmeier (Carolina Caroline, Snack Shack, Dinner in America) directing from an original screenplay by Michael Learner. Tomlinson will next star in Anything But Ghosts, for Blumhouse-Atomic Monster, Spooky Pictures and Focus Features, which he co-wrote alongside longtime collaborator Curry Barker of That’s.A.Bad.Idea. Tomlinson leads the cast opposite Barker (who also directs), Bryce Dallas Howard and Aaron Paul in the film, which is slated for release May 7, 2027.
Seeker follows “Grant” (Tomlinson), a man haunted by the unexplained disappearance of his fiancée “Caroline” (Abdalla) five years earlier. Now a ride-share driver, his life is upended when he picks up a passenger who he is convinced is responsible for her disappearance. What starts as a tense game of cat-and-mouse spirals into something far stranger, more disturbing, and deeply unhinged – challenging everything we think we know.
Rothe will next star in Universal Pictures and Blumhouse’s River, opposite Jane Levy, which will open in theaters on January 15, 2027. The film premiered to rave reviews in the Midnight Madness slot at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival. Rothe is well known for starring in Universal Pictures and Blumhouse‘s Happy Death Day, which grossed over $125 million worldwide, and the sequel, Happy Death Day 2U. Her additional credits include Damien Chazelle’s Oscar-winning La La Land, Forever My Girl, Valley Girl, All My Life, and Boy Kills World.
Mika Abdalla is best known for her breakout role as fan-favorite ‘Allie’ in Amazon Prime Video’s global hit “Off Campus”, which premiered in May as one of the most-watched Amazon Prime Video series debuts of all time, reaching over 36M viewers in its first 12 days. Based on Elle Kennedy’s bestselling book series, Season 2 just wrapped production with Abdalla as the lead.
Abdalla also starred as the female lead in the coming-of-age summer comedy Snack Shack from acclaimed filmmaker Adam Rehmeier and Rian Johnson’s T-Street. The film was released in theaters nationwide through Paramount/Republic, earning rave reviews, and ultimately becoming a NYT “Critic’s Pick.” She previously led the cast of the Hulu Original comedy Sex Appeal from Jeremy Garelick’s production banner American High. Reviews called her turn as school-obsessed teen ‘Avery’ a “stellar performance” and “exceedingly charming.” On the television side, Mika can be seen in the award winning first season of HBO Max’s The Pitt and originally got her start leading the Netflix franchise “Project MC²” across six seasons.
Producers are currently casting the roles of “Steve” and “Kate” now.
