Oh what a year this has been for Bollywood! A complete disaster that not only saw a string of big budget flops, but saw the Hindi cinema industry having to contend with backlash from conservative right-wing forces and constant threat of bans and boycott calls and hashtags from the amorphous moral police. Also making things rather awkward was the blockbuster success stories attached to the dubbed versions of RRR, KGF: Chapter 2, and Kantara, who not only outscored original Hindi film content in comparison but managed to dominate home turfs for weeks after their release.
Nevertheless, it cannot denied that in the midst of so much competition, it has become much more important than ever that Bollywood simply stop making bad movies. In my opinion, here are some of the worst films churned out by the Hindi film industry this year:
