Fans of the Merc with a Mouth attending this month’s San Diego Comic-Con International may want to make sure they’re in the queue for Hall H on Saturday night. Not only will 20th Century Fox be hosting a Deadpool panel, but there’ll also be a screening of Deadpool 2: Uncut, an extended version of this year’s hit sequel.
Director David Leitch has previously revealed that an extended cut was in the works, stating in May that he was “sort of collaborating with Ryan Reynolds, Rhett Reese, and Paul Wernick, and making sure we’re all getting all the jokes we want – to have it be fun and our sort of fun collaboration.”
For those of us who won’t be in San Diego, all hope is not lost, as Fox previously screened an extended ‘Rogue Cut’ of X-Men: Days of Future Past at Comic-Con in 2014, and that was subsequently released on home-entertainment formats. Hopefully they’ll follow suit with Deadpool 2: Uncut.
