Tonight was the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards, hosted by the father-son duo Eugene Levy and Dan Levy. The night featured delightful odes to Happy Days, The West Wing, the procedural series that have defined the genre for decades, and a heart-warming segment that saw Greg Berlanti presented with the Emmy Governor’s Award. But you’re likely not here to read about all of that. You want to know if your favorite shows and actors brought home any awards tonight.
For the majority of the night, it looked like the evening would be a repeat of the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards (which aired earlier this year), with The Bear sweeping the comedy category. And, while the series took home an impressive number of awards tonight, Hacks managed to bring home the top-prize, winning both Outstanding Comedy Series and earning Jean Smart an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress In a Comedy Series. Earlier this week, the Creative Arts Emmy Awards saw new records being set for series like Shōgun, which took home an impressive 14 wins ahead of tonight’s award show, and the hit series continued its victory lap. But you’ll have to keep scrolling to find out which categories it, and all of your other favorite series, brought home tonight.
