‘House of the Dragon’ Season 3 Adds Tom Cullen, Joplin Sibtain, and Barry Sloane!!

The cast of the third season of House of the Dragon continues to grow. Deadline reports that Tom Cullen, Joplin Sibtain, and Barry Sloane have joined the cast of the prequel series that follows the rise and fall of the Targaryen dynasty. The world of Game of Thrones will continue to expand, as principal photography for the new episodes of House of the Dragon continues. As filming goes on, casting announcements can be expected from the massive production HBO has been developing since the Game of Thrones television adaptation came to a close. The most powerful family in all of Westeros is expected to return to the screen at some point next year.

Joplin Sibtain will step into the shoes of Ser “Bold” Jon Roxton. The actor is in the process of making a statement thanks to his performance as Brasso in the first and second seasons of Andor. The Star Wars television series follows the hero portrayed by Diego Luna, but Joplin Sibtain has found a place to thrive in that corner of the galaxy far, far away. Before being cast in both Andor and House of the Dragon, Sibtain spent some time voicing a wide variety of characters in different video games and playing Tarak Ital in an episode of Doctor Who. It’s time for Joplin Sibtain to enter the world created by George R. R. Martin.

Tom Cullen will play Ser Luthor Largent. It remains to be seen how any of these newcomers relate to the main characters of House of the Dragon and their claim to the Iron Throne. Cullen recently had roles in both Barbarians and My Happy Ending. He will be joined in the Game of Thrones prequel by Barry Sloane, who will bring Ser Adrian Redfort to life on the screen. Sloane is slated to appear in the next installment of The Sandman, after playing Eddie Wells in Passenger.

What is ‘House of the Dragon’ About?

Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) will continue to fight Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) for control of the Iron Throne in Westeros. Despite growing up as close friends, the pair grew apart while the fate of the kingdom remained at stake. Rhanerya will once again count on the support of her lover/uncle, Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith). House of the Dragon was produced to depict how the mighty Targaryen dynasty that eventually gave birth to Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) lost their position of power by the time the events of Game of Thrones began.

A release date for the third season of House of the Dragon hasn’t been set by Max.
