‘Relative Secrets’ Trailer Sees Jane Seymour Investigate in the New True-Crime Series!! Check It Out!!

Acorn TV has unveiled the first trailer for their unscripted series Relative Secrets, hosted by Jane Seymour (Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman). Seymour is the star of Acorn‘s twisty murder-mystery show, Harry Wild, and now she’s diving into the world of an unscripted series for the network. It’s being billed as part true-crime part geneaology. Relative Secrets is more than a genealogy show, with people uncovering the past of their family line. Along the way, dark mysteries lingering in family trees are solved. The new series premieres June 2 on Acorn TV. The description for Relative Secrets is a follows:

“Each episode in this suspenseful new series will investigate an everyday American family’s darkest mystery, aiming both to solve the mystery and explore how it shapes that family today. Colorful characters, rich cultural context and dramatic twists and turns abound in every tale, each of which connects the American family to their UK heritage. Along the way, we’ll meet charismatic heroes and terrifying villains, ranging from a 99-year-old World War II veteran who worries his absence led to the murder of his grandmother, to the daughter of a serial killer desperate to carve out her own identity from her father’s sordid past to a mother who abandoned her three children to start a new secret life. Host Seymour oversees the overall investigation in each episode, which is led by archaeologist Natasha Billson (The Great British Dig).”

Jane Seymour Uncovers Dark Family Secrets in ‘Relative Secrets’

The first four episodes has Seymour and Billson helping a woman uncover more about her family that happens to also have a serial killer in it with the woman in the trailer hoping that her family isn’t “all bad.” Along the way, Seymour and Billson continue to uncover a secret worse than they could imagine. Seymour and Billson also look into the disappearance– and potential murder– of the grandmother of a World War II veteran. Relative Secrets will also feature another disappearance, this time of a mother of three from seventy years ago. Another will take Seymour and Billson to the Wild West, searching for the truth about an outlaw up in someone’s family tree. After the June 2 premiere, Relative Secrets will premiere episodes weekly on Mondays at 10 PM ET on BBC America and Acorn TV.
