‘American Horror Story’ May Never Actually End According to Disney TV Studios Chief!!

Fans out there who have been ride or die with Ryan Murphy’s spooky-scary anthology series, American Horror Story, since its premiere all the way back in 2011 are in for some terrific news today. While we know that a thirteenth season (spooooky) is on the way, it sounds like the show will continue to run further into the future. According to Disney TV studios chief, Eric Schrier, during an interview with Deadline, the money and support will continue rolling in “as long as Ryan has an idea.” And, judging by his creative imagination that has brought other successful shows like Doctor Odyssey into open waters, there’s no end in sight for American Horror Story.

Explaining how the production process behind the beloved title goes down, Schrier explained,

The way we work with Ryan is different than with other creators, he’s in a select few group of people that, if he has a great idea for another American Horror Story, and that’s something that [FX Networks chairman] John [Landgraf] and the team at FX really want to do, we’re going to figure it out.”

If, as you were reading, you thought that a renewal announcement was on the way, or even a reveal about where the creative team might be taking American Horror Story next, unfortunately that won’t be happening — at least not today. That being said, Schrier remains hopeful that Murphy will swing by with another bright idea (we’re hoping for Coven part two) any day now.

We don’t have another incarnation of American Horror Story ordered, but it’s a franchise that, by design, can always be rebooted. And so when Ryan has an idea that is great and can figure it out with his schedule of all the things that he’s doing, I could very well see us doing another installment.”

Ryan Murphy’s Busy Slate

In the years since American Horror Story first blessed our TV screens, Murphy has continued to stay busy in the television world. He’s created countless new productions, dipping further into drama with shows like Feud and Pose, and working his way into procedurals with long-running favorites including 9-1-1 and Doctor Odyssey. He’s even moved from the fictional horrors to those of the real world with his Monsters anthology series, which will soon return for a third season, following Charlie Hunnam as notorious American serial killer, Ed Gein.

As of right now, no date has been set for Season 13 of American Horror Story, but you can stay tuned to Collider for more information.
