Tom Hardy Has No Interest is Doing a Bane Impression!!

Tom Hardy has stepped into the shoes of many iconic roles over the years, and he’s developed one of the most dedicated fan bases of any actor working in Hollywood today. Hardy has put his life on the line starring in action movies over the last 20 years, so much so that he’s given public statements about the poor condition of his body after years of doing his own stunts. As with any Hollywood star, Hardy is often approached by fans out in public who ask for a picture or ask him to deliver one of the many legendary lines from his filmography. During a recent interview with Huffington Post UK to promote his newest action movie, Havoc, Hardy revealed the one fan request he’s become extremely comfortable denying:

Some people might like me to do an impression or a voice of a character. Like Bane, most of the time. And I take great pride in saying no. It’s like a little bit of power, ‘No.’ Because I can.”

Hardy’s role as Bane in The Dark Knight Rises is undoubtedly one of the most famous in his career. This is mostly since he’s entirely unrecognizable in the film, although it’s become common knowledge now that it’s indeed Hardy playing Bane, most casual fans were stunned upon their first viewing to learn it was indeed him behind the mask. Not only did Hardy deliver a voice that bears no resemblance to his own, but he also bulked up to extreme levels to play the iconic Batman villain. Fans of the movie can still hear Hardy’s voice ringing, You merely adopted the dark…” but he would appreciate it if you didn’t stop and ask him to repeat it if you happen to bump into him on the street. Hardy’s recent projects, MobLand and Havoc, are streaming on Paramount+ and Netflix, respectively.

Have Tom Hardy and Shia LaBeouf Ever Been in a Movie Together?

Tom Hardy and Shia LaBeouf starred alongside each other in Lawless, the 2012 R-rated crime thriller that’s currently streaming for free on both Tubi and Pluto TV. Guy Pearce, Jason Clarke, and Jessica Chastain also star in the film, which was written by Nick Cave and is based on the book The Wettest Country in the World by Matt Bondurant. John Hillcoat directed the film. Lawless was Hardy’s last movie before he joined Christopher Nolan’s Batman universe, and shortly before its release, he also starred in Warrior, the critically acclaimed MMA movie featuring Joel Edgerton.

The Dark Knight Rises will leave Netflix this weekend.
