‘Vision Quest’: Upcoming Marvel Series Adds Emily Hampshire to Cast!!

Marvel‘s upcoming Vision Quest series is expanding its cast. Deadline reports that Emily Hampshire, best known for her work in Schitt’s Creek, will play E.D.I.T.H. in the show. The role was most recently played by Dawn Michelle King, who voiced the character in Spider-Man: Far From Home, the 2019 Spider-Man flick led by Tom Holland. E.D.I.T.H., otherwise known as Even Dead I’m The Hero, is one of many AI creators from the late Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr), so it stands to reason that she’ll have a role to play in Vision Quest. It’s unclear at this time what role E.D.I.T.H. will have in the show, but given the unprecedented access she allows the user to Starks’ Global Security Network, we can only hope she doesn’t fall into the wrong hands.

Hampshire joins Paul Bettany, who will reprise his famous MCU role as Vision, in the Disney+ series. It was also reported last year that James Spader would return to the MCU after more than 10 years away to reprise his role as Ultron in the show, and a recent casting helped add credence to this theory. Just last week, it was announced that T’Nia Miller had joined the cast of Vision Quest as Jacosta, a robot built by Ultron to be his wife. However, Jacosta ultimately turns on him and sides with the Avengers. Faran Tahir will also reprise his Iron Man role as Raza in the film. Vision Quest will follow Vision after the events of WandaVision, attempting to piece back his memory and take back his life.

When Will ‘Vision Quest’ Be Released?

Marvel Studios has yet to announce when Vision Quest will be released, but any projects currently in development are going to be surrounded by even more questions due to the upcoming releases of Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars. If Vision Quest is going to be released before Doomsday, this likely means the story will have to factor in to Vision’s potential role in the 2026 Avengers film. However, if it’s going to be released between the two, or even after both, that’s an entirely different set of questions to answer. Bettany’s vision has yet to be confirmed for a role in Doomsday, but he has the power and skill set to help in the fight against Doctor Doom.
