‘Wednesday’ Season 2: Netflix Relaunches Nevermore Academy Recruitment Site!!

Today, Netflix re-launched the official Nevermore Academy recruitment website, complete with a chilling video from the school’s new headmaster, Principal Dort, played by none other than Steve Buscemi. Normies and outcasts alike can once again “apply” to attend Nevermore and join in the macabre mayhem chaos alongside Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) The website relaunch arrives just ahead of Wednesday Season 2’s highly anticipated premiere. This season, the Gothic dramedy is going bigger, weirder, and yes—darker, if that’s even possible. Season 2 has been split into 2 parts, as per Netflix‘s usual style, with Part 1 debuting on August 6, 2025, and Part 2 following a few weeks later on September 3, 2025.

The new season is absolutely stacked. Alongside Ortega’s Wednesday and series regulars like Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, and Moosa Mostafa, the cast adds Billie Piper, Thandiwe Newton, Joanna Lumley, Heather Matarazzo, Christopher Lloyd, and Haley Joel Osment. Speaking of Osment, fans already got a taste of Season 2 during Netflix’s Tudum event, which unveiled the first six minutes. That awesome sneak peek showed Wednesday waking up in the basement of a serial killer’s home, already having solved the mystery of his identity using her summer-honed psychic powers. Of course, she just rocked up to a serial killer’s house for a giggle.

What Can We Expect from ‘Wednesday’ Season 2?

According to creators Miles Millar and Alfred Gough, this season shifts even further into horror territory. “Season 2 definitely has some moments which are more straightforward horror,” Millar told Entertainment Weekly. “We want to make sure that there’s enough bite to it that it feels that there are real stakes and that people die in this world, and it’s scary at moments.”

Gough added that the mystery this season is “more complex” and that the world itself is “bigger,” giving room to explore the ensemble of returning and new characters alike. That includes a now-powered-up Pugsley (played by Isaac Ordonez) and the return of Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán as Morticia and Gomez Addams.

Wednesday Season 2 is once again helmed by executive producer and director Tim Burton, who directed four of the eight episodes. Paco Cabezas returns to direct episodes 202 and 203, while Angela Robinson takes the reins for 205 and 206. Also back on board are executive producers Steve Stark, Gail Berman, Andrew Mittman, and others.

You can revisit Season 1 of Wednesday now on Netflix. Then apply to Nevermore Academy—if you dare—and don’t miss the Season 2 premiere on August 6.
