‘Wake Up Dead Man’: New Image Teases ‘Knives Out 3’!! Check It Out!!

Fans are patiently waiting for Benoit Blanc’s (Daniel Craig) next outing in Rian Johnson’s Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. The third movie in the Knives Out franchise is long overdue as it brings a fresh cast, a new mystery, and a fan-favorite sleuth. While fans have seen the first full trailer of the Netflix movie, the streamer has unveiled a new image from the movie.

The image comes with the announcement that the movie will officially open the 69th BFI London Film Festival. It shows Craig and co-star Josh O’Connor in a car, both of them look disheveled, while one can see wheels in Benoit Blanc’s head turning. O’Connor and Craig’s chemistry is something to look forward to in the upcoming feature, as the former seems to be helping in solving the case, but in the Knives Out world, anyone can be the culprit.

What’s ‘Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery’ About?

Wake Up Dead Man will once again follow Benoit Blanc investigating a murder while dealing with a long list of suspects. The makers are keeping details of the plot close to the vest. The previously released trailer showcases the setting of the feature to be a church aka “the holy grail” for a man of reason. We see a slew of ‘to be suspects,’ but the mystery is to be uncovered when the movie finally drops. Johnson previously told Collider while teasing the future of the franchise,

One of the things I love about the mystery genre is that it holds the whodunit. Like sci-fi, it encompasses so many other types of genres. ‘Wake Up Dead Man,’ this next movie, is so different than ‘Glass Onion.’ It’s like night and day. And so, as long as we keep doing that, it’s exciting.”

The movie has a long list of talents attached, as is the case with the franchise, including O’Connor as Rev. Jud Duplenticy, Glenn Close as Martha, Josh Brolin as another priest, Jefferson, Mila Kunis as Geraldine, and Jeremy Renner as Dr. Nat Sharp. Further rounding off the cast are Kerry Washington as Vera Draven, Andrew Scott as Lee Ross, Cailee Spaeny as Simone, Daryl McCormack as Cy, and Thomas Haden Church as Samson.

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery will be released on Netflix on December 12, 2025.
