Bosch: Legacy may have ended, but Madison Lintz isn’t leaving the crime genre behind just yet. The Bosch breakout has officially signed on to star in and executive produce Eve Ronin, a new TV adaptation of Lee Goldberg’s bestselling crime novels published by Thomas & Mercer/Amazon Publishing. The news arrives just days after the final episodes of Bosch: Legacy hit Prime Video and marked Lintz’s farewell to the role of Maddie Bosch — a character she’s played for over a decade.
In Eve Ronin, Lintz will play the youngest homicide detective in the history of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. A relentless, complicated, and deeply driven figure, Ronin investigates gruesome crimes across L.A., all while facing institutional resistance and battling demons of her own. “I am beyond thrilled to bring Eve Ronin to life,” Lintz said in a statement. “From the moment I picked up Lee’s books, I knew this was a character and a story I needed to be a part of. Eve’s determination, complexity, and resilience make her a dream role, and I am honored to take on this challenge on both sides of the camera.”
Goldberg, the author behind Eve Ronin and a veteran of TV staples like Monk and Diagnosis Murder, had nothing but praise for the casting. “Madison is the embodiment of Eve Ronin. She brings both the raw intensity and vulnerability that define the character,” he said. “Her passion for the project, coupled with her talent, ensures that the series will stay true to the heart of the books while taking Eve’s story in bold new directions.”
Will Madison Lintz Return to Bosch?
Lintz leaves Bosch and Bosch: Legacy with one of the strongest character arcs in the entire franchise. First introduced as Harry Bosch’s daughter in Season 1 of Bosch when she was just 14, she grew into a lead of her own by the end of Legacy. Now 25, she said goodbye to the character with a heartfelt Instagram post that pays tribute to the cast, crew, and fans who followed her journey.
“I would like to thank the cast and crew of Bosch and Bosch: Legacy for being my family for the past 11 years,” she wrote. “I am so proud of this season, and of everyone who had a hand in bringing it to life.” Lintz also praised LAPD advisors Mitzi Roberts and Tim Marcia for helping her understand what it means to play a cop. “I cherish everything I learned from both of you,” she said. But her final thank-you was reserved for her longtime scene partner and on-screen father, Titus Welliver. “There’s not much to say that hasn’t already been said dear friend,” she wrote. “Thank you for pouring your heart and soul into this show. Thank you for allowing me space to try and do the same.”
