‘Masters of the Universe’: New Video Reveals Title Treatment of the Upcoming Movie!! Check It Out!!

They may not be fabulous secret powers, but Amazon MGM Studios has revealed the new title treatment for their upcoming Masters of the Universe movie. The newly released video features the logo for the upcoming film, which, like its 1987 predecessor, will simply be called Masters of the Universe. The logo takes its design cues from the original logo for the franchise, which first graced toy packaging, TV screens, and comic books back in 1982.

The clip also features a music sting derived from the 1982 cartoon‘s theme song, albeit in a considerably more lush and orchestrated form. It also indicates a worldwide release, presenting the logo in a variety of different languages. The franchise has always been a hit around the globe; in fact, several of the final toys from the waning days of the original action figure line were only available in the Italian market. Those days are long since gone, however, and the franchise has endured for decades. Amazon MGM Studios clearly hopes to bring it to new heights, however, when it releases Masters of the Universe in theaters on June 5, 2026.

Who Stars in ‘Masters of the Universe’?

Nicholas Galitzine (Red, White & Royal Blue) will fill the furry boots of He-Man and his mild-mannered alter ego, Prince Adam. He’ll be joined in his quest to protect the planet Eternia by his allies Teela (Camila Mendes, Riverdale), Man-At-Arms (Idris Elba, The Wire), the Sorceress (Morena Baccarin, Deadpool), Fisto (Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Atomic Blonde), Ram-Man (Jon Xue Zhang, The Brothers Son), and Adam’s parents, King Randor (James Purefoy, Rome), and Queen Marlena (Charlotte Riley, World Without End). They’ll be facing off against the skull-faced sorcerer Skeletor (Jared Leto, Morbius) and his evil warriors, including Evil-Lyn (Alison Brie, Together), Trap Jaw (Sam C. Wilson, Dodger), Goat Man (Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, Game of Thrones), and Tri-Klops (Kojo Attah, The Beekeeper). Agatha All Along‘s Sasheer Zamata will also star in the movie as Suzie, who presumably does not hail from the techno-barbaric wastes of Eternia. Dolph Lundgren, who starred as He-Man in 1987’s ill-fated Cannon treatment of the franchise, has also hinted that he will make an appearance in the film.

Masters of the Universe will be directed by Travis Knight, making it his second live-action feature and his second trip to the toyboxes of the 1980s, after Bumblebee. The script was penned by Chris Butler.

Masters of the Universe will be released in theaters on June 5, 2026.
