‘F.A.S.T’: LaKeith Stanfield, Jason Clarke, More Join New Taylor Sheridan Written Thriller!!

Warner Bros. is loading up its arsenal for Taylor Sheridan’s latest project. F.A.S.T., a high-octane action thriller penned by the Yellowstone and 1923 creator, has just enlisted LaKeith Stanfield, Jason Clarke, Sam Claflin, and Trevante Rhodes to join previously announced lead Brandon Sklenar. It’s no surprise to see big names wanting to be part of a Sheridan project, given the star power he’s been able to attract to his television shows, with the likes of Harrison Ford, Billy Bob Thornton, Sylvester Stallone and Samuel L. Jackson already on the roster.

Behind the camera is Ben Richardson, Sheridan’s go-to director on 1923 and an acclaimed cinematographer in his own right. The film is being produced by David Heyman and Jeffrey Clifford of Heyday Films, along with Sheridan and Jenny Wood for Bosque Ranch Productions. Warner Bros. president of production Jesse Ehrman and executive VP Kevin McCormick are overseeing the project.

What Is ‘F.A.S.T. About?

F.A.S.T. centers on Sklenar’s character, a former special forces commando who’s fallen on hard times since returning home. When the DEA comes knocking, he’s given a shot at redemption — but it’s far from a clean mission. Tasked with leading a black-ops strike team against drug dealers under CIA protection, he finds himself in a dangerous game where loyalty and survival are constantly at odds. Stanfield, Clarke, Claflin, and Rhodes are set to play a mix of DEA agents and the commando’s old Delta Force teammates.

Stanfield, who earned an Oscar nomination for Judas and the Black Messiah, has been on a genre-bending run in recent years, moving from Disney’s Haunted Mansion to Jeymes Samuel’s The Book of Clarence, as well as leading Apple TV+’s unsettling fantasy drama The Changeling. Clarke is gearing up for one of his busiest years yet, headlining Apple TV+’s crime thriller The Last Frontier, which he also executive produced, and taking on the role of Alex Murdaugh in an upcoming Hulu limited series. On the film side, he’s reuniting with Kathryn Bigelow for A House of Dynamite, a project already tipped as a potential awards contender.

Claflin, still beloved for his turn as Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games series, recently earned acclaim for his performance in Prime Video’s Daisy Jones & The Six and the lavish new adaptation of The Count of Monte Cristo. Rhodes, best known for his breakout role in the Oscar-winning Moonlight, most recently brought his intensity to Tyler Perry’s crime thriller Mea Culpa.
