‘Twilight Saga’ Set for Re-Release & More to Celebrate 20th Anniversary!!

Some stories never die. One of the biggest examples of this is the Twilight Saga. It has been 20 years since the novels written by Stephenie Meyer were published and became a global sensation, so the time is right to celebrate the franchise’s legacy. Twilight fans are in for a treat this October: Fathom Entertainment and Lionsgate announced that the movies are being re-released in theaters, aside from a slate of events that will gather fans from all over the world. The celebrations start on October 29.

For the event, Fathom recognizes that the story of Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) has defined an entire generation. That’s why the re-release of the movie series in theaters is just one part of the entire celebration. They will be screened nationwide from October 29 to November 2, just in time for Hoa Hoa Hoa season.

Washington and Washington-adjacent fans will be immensely happy to find out that Fathom is also bringing the celebration to Forks — the city in which most of the story takes place. The Forever Twilight in Forks Festival will be a four-day event that will feature immersive experiences including panels, themed parties, film screenings, and more. The event will include the presence of Stephenie Meyer herself — the author will take part in a round table with some of the people that made the Twilight movies happen, including Wyck Godfrey, Gillian Bohrer, Erik Feig, and Karen Rosenfelt.

The ‘Twilight’ Novels Are Getting a 20th-Anniversary Special Edition

Fans of the Twilight novels will also be thrilled to find out that the books are getting brand-new, 20th Anniversary editions this year. Hachette Book Group and Little Brown are releasing special new editions, including a hardcover box collection that features the four novels and Midnight Sun.

And that is far from all. The Twilight Saga YouTube Channel is being re-launched with special clips and bonus content, while Twilight in Concert will kick off the first-ever US National Tour that will visit 60 cities and invite fans to a cinematic live-to-film experience with a live band. The musicians will transform the viewing experience by performing the movies’ score in sync with the original movie. You can find out all about it on the official website.

In an official statement, the Chief Executive Officer of Fathom Entertainment Ray Nutt underscored the hefty celebratory event:

“Twilight fans are some of the most passionate anywhere, making this iconic movie franchise the epitome of a modern-day classic which Fathom Entertainment is thrilled to help bring back to the big screen in this special cinematic engagement. With our partners at Lionsgate, we celebrate 20 years since Stephenie Meyer’s first Twilight book was published and encourage fans to relish The Twilight Saga.”

The Twilight Saga movies get re-released nationwide from October 29 to November 2. Tickets are on sale now at the Fathom Entertainment website.
