Zootopia 2 is adding a quartet of stars to its cast menagerie. Andy Samberg, Macaulay Culkin, Brenda Song, and David Straithairn are joining the cast of the hotly anticipated animated sequel. The four actors will all voice members of the powerful and influential Lynxley family. The film is set to hit theaters on November 26, 2025.

Strathairn (The Bourne Ultimatum) will play patriarch and “distinguished business-mammal” Milton; Culkin (Home Alone) will voice eldest son Cattrick; Song (The Last Showgirl) will play Kitty, the family’s middle child and only daughter; and Samberg (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) will voice Pawbert, the affable runt of the family. This is one of a number of projects where real-life husband and wife Culkin and Song have starred in together; he recently guest-starred on an episode of Song‘s Netflix basketball comedy Running Point. How will this feline family fit into the plot of Zootopia 2, which sees a whole new taxon of animals enter the mammalian world of the original? What Do We Know About ‘Zootopia 2’?

The first film took place in the bustling mammal metropolis of Zootopia, where rookie rabbit cop Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) teamed with vulpine conman Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman) to expose a conspiracy designed to turn the city’s herbivores against its already-oppressed predators. In the new film, Judy and Nick are back, with the latter having joined the police force, only to encounter a conundrum: the serpentine Gary De’Snake (Ke Huy Quan). Where did a sentient reptile come from in a world of mammals? Judy and Nick are about to uncover a whole different side of town. Meanwhile, they’re also trying to bond as partners with the help of “therapy animal” Dr. Fuzzby (Quinta Brunson). Returning from the first film are Idris Elba, Jenny Slate, Nate Torrence, Bonnie Hunt, Don Lake, Tommy Chong, Alan Tudyk, and Shakira; newcomers to the star-studded voice cast include Fortune Feimster, Jean Reno, Patrick Warburton, and Wilmer Valderrama.

Zootopia 2 is directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard, from a script by Bush; Howard co-directed the first film, and Bush co-wrote its script. The original Zootopia was a massive commercial and critical hit for Disney; it earned over $1 billion USD at the box office, and holds a 98% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, in addition to capturing the Best Animated Feature award at the Oscars.

Zootopia 2 will be released in theaters on November 26, 2025.
