‘The Bear’ Season 5 Won’t Be Releasing Anytime Soon!!

The Bear star Jeremy Allen White has just provided a disappointing update about when the show could potentially return to screens. The Bear has been one of the biggest success stories of the last few years. First airing in 2022, the series has released four full seasons already and has been a consistent contender at the Emmys. It’s easily become one of Hulu’s biggest properties on the back of Jeremy Allen White and other stars such as Ayo Edebiri (Opus), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Fantastic Four: First Steps), and Liza Colón-Zayas (Spider-Man: Brand New Day). Unfortunately, it looks like Season 5 may not be coming anytime soon.

Jeremy Allen White recently sat down for an interview with Vogue to promote his new Bruce Springsteen biopic, Deliver Me From Nowhere, and he was asked if he could share anything exciting about the next season of The Bear. “We haven’t shot the next season yet,” he confirmed. “It’s interesting because we shot this last finale back in 2024, but then filmed a lot of earlier Season 4 episodes in 2025, so it’s a weird thing. It feels like a long time coming.” White also says that Carmy “shed so much during that finale,” and teases a different version of the character coming in Season 5.

The Bear was written and created for television by Christopher Storer, who had little to no background in screenwriting before he delivered one of the best television projects of the decade. The Bear has picked up 21 Emmy wins during its four seasons on TV, and with more seasons confirmed to be on the way, it likely isn’t going to slow down anytime soon. Edebiri has even worked as an executive producer and director on an episode of The Bear.

Jeremy Allen White Will Star in a Major Blockbuster in 2026

Jeremy Allen White will certainly boost his box office total in 2026 with his role in The Mandalorian and Grogu. White has been tapped to star as Rotta the Hutt, son of Jabba the Hutt, alongside Pedro Pascal, Sigourney Weaver, and more. Jon Favreau is directing the film with a script he wrote, and it will be a direct continuation of the first three seasons of The Mandalorian. It hits theaters everywhere on May 22, 2026.
