Beef captivated audiences when it premiered on Netflix in April 2023. Danny Cho (Steven Yeun) and Amy Lau (Ali Wong) have a hatred for each other the likes of which have never been seen. And the award-winning series is coming back for Season 2. As part of Netflix‘s big announcement about the future of their programming, it was announced that fans of Beef won’t have to wait long at all for new acts of revenge between Danny and Amy! The series is set to return to Netflix on April 16, 2026, three years after its first season premiered on the streaming platform.
The announcement was part of a larger Netflix drop that has been teased for the last few days. The ad featured Teyana Taylor as an all-seeing Netflix psychic who showed a young woman what worlds she could visit through the platform. It included her dancing with Benedict from Bridgerton, crashing into Millie Bobby Brown‘s Enola Holmes world, and even gave fans a look at the live-action world of Avatar: The Last Airbender all heading to Netflix in 2026. Fans didn’t get to see her interact with the characters from Beef, but the news is a part of the platform’s larger drop for the future.
The tease of what’s to come at Netflix comes after the conclusion of their juggernaut series, Stranger Things, which ended over the New Year celebrations. While some fans thought the tease of this ad would include new information about the series, created by Matt Duffer and his brother Ross Duffer, it did not. But fans can experience other hit shows, like Beef, throughout the year.
Beef Is One of Netflix’s Most Critically Acclaimed Shows
The first season of Beef was not only loved by fans, but critics also praised the Lee Sung Jin-created series. It earned Yeun and Wong Emmys for their roles and has made a name for itself as one of the best new original series. And for good reason: The show is groundbreaking. Wong‘s win made her the first ever Asian-American woman to win an Emmy and Yeun also made history with his win. The series also introduced audiences to a number of actors, like Young Mazino, who went on to star in the second season of the hit HBO series The Last of Us. So it is exciting for fans to get to embark once more on this story of revenge for Season 2.
You can catch up on Season 1 of Beef on Netflix.
