A brand-new chapter connected to The Handmaid’s Tale is officially on the way, and the first look has just arrived. Hulu has released the trailer for The Testaments, the upcoming sequel series inspired by the novel from Margaret Atwood. The new series will premiere April 8 with its first three episodes, followed by weekly releases.

The story centers on two young women — Agnes and Daisy — whose lives collide in a society where obedience is enforced through religion, power, and fear. Agnes is raised inside Gilead and groomed to become the perfect future wife, while Daisy arrives from outside the regime and must adapt to a world governed by strict rules and constant surveillance.

The cast includes The Handmaid’s Tale‘s Emmy-winning star Ann Dowd, reprising her role of Aunt Lydia, alongside the new cast of One Battle After Another‘s breakout star Chase Infiniti, Lucy Halliday, Mabel Li, Amy Seimetz, Brad Alexander, Rowan Blanchard, Mattea Conforti, Zarrin Darnell-Martin, Eva Foote, Isolde Ardies, Shechinah Mpumlwana, Birva Pandya and Kira Guloien.
