‘The Boys: Trigger Warning’: ‘The Boys’ Series Is Getting a New VR Game!!

Prime Video has been around as a prominent streamer for years now, and while there have certainly been some misses, it’s also found some flagship properties worth investing in. The first that comes to mind is Reacher, the action series inspired by Lee Child’s novels starring Alan Ritchson. The fourth season of Reacher is on the way later this year, as Ritchson recently confirmed to Collider. Another of Prime Video’s most popular shows is Invincible, the superhero series that set out to provide a much more violent and mature take on the genre than fans had become accustomed to from Marvel and DC. Invincible Season 4 returns next week.

One of the most popular Prime Video shows is The Boys, the hit live-action superhero series set in a dystopian world where superheroes are treated more like property to be marketed and less like human beings. The first season of the show premiered all the way back in 2019, and now seven years later, it’s finally set to conclude with Season 5, which will premiere on April 6. The series stars Antony Starr as Homelander, Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, and Jack Quaid as Hughie. It’s already been spun off into a new series, Gen V, with another spin-off confirmed to be in development.

However, before The Boys begin streaming in just a few weeks, another project has been set for release even sooner. Arvore Immersive has teamed up with The Boys for a new VR game, titled The Boys: Trigger Warning, which will be released on March 26. The series follows Lucas, a new hero in The Boys universe, who is pulled into a violent fight with Vought while working alongside Butcher and Mother’s Milk. The game is now available for pre-order on MetaQuest and PSVR.

‘The Boys’ Is Expanding With Another Prequel

It’s been a while since Amazon announced it was working on Vought Rising, a new prequel series set years before the events of The Boys. The series will return franchise veterans Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash to reprise their respective roles as Soldier Boy and Stormfront, and it will be set in the 1950s during Vought’s initial rise to power in America. The series has been filming since the second half of last year, and it’s expected to wrap any day now. It still does not have an official release date.
