‘Shades of Paradise’: Dominic Sessa to Lead New Action Movie!!

Dominic Sessa has landed his next big role. The rising star has been cast in a brand-new action movie following his praiseworthy role as Anthony Bourdain in Tony. Interestingly, the plot of the upcoming film is quite similar to that of the 1992 film Reservoir Dogs, which involved a jewel heist.

According to a new update from Deadline, Sessa is all set to lead Shades of Paradise. Apart from the Matt Johnson-directed feature, the 23-year-old actor also featured in Tow, Now You See: Now You Don’t, and Oh. What. Fun.

A well-known credit includes the Academy Award-winning movie, The Holdovers, where he played Angus Tully. Sessa clinched a BAFTA nomination in the Best Supporting Actor category. He also won the Best Breakthrough Performance at the 2024 Critics’ Choice Awards and Film Independent Spirit Awards.

Shades of Paradise is about a group of four young criminals and their diamond heist in Barcelona. Soon, the heist entangles them in a web of violence, betrayal, and heartbreak. The film has been written and directed by Weston Razooli.

Andrew Morrison of Kaplan Morrison produced the film. Alongside Sessa, the cast features Jack Dylan Grazer, Najwa Nimri, Naira Lleo, Rojuu, Teru Castilla Serrano, Zack Harrod, Romann Berrux, Stanislav Baretsky, and Rhys Mitchell.

Mark Lampert, Oleg Nodelman, and Michael D’Alto are the additional producers. David Kaplan of Kaplan Morrison has also contributed as an executive producer.
