VisionQuest has released a new trailer focused on Tommy Maximoff. The series will close out a trilogy of shows that centered around Vision and Wanda Maximoff in the wake of Avengers: Endgame.
WandaVision established Tommy and Billy as the children of Wanda Maximoff, created through her magic. While the two disappeared along with Vision when Wanda released Westview from her control, their consciousnesses later came to inhabit the bodies of two teenagers who were close to death.
The new trailer shows Tommy Maximoff in police custody, going through a psychological evaluation. He remembers his life as Tommy in Westview, as well as the life he had before Tommy’s identity took over his body. He is shown confused about which life was his and which wasn’t, raising questions about the “two lives” he remembers.
What happens in the new VisionQuest teaser trailer?
The new teaser shows Billy and Agatha witnessing visions of a boy drowning. The footage comes from the previous entry in the trilogy, Agatha All Along. It is intercut with Tommy’s interview with the police. Tommy Maximoff, who is known as Thomas Shepherd in his current body, is seen agonizing over how he could remember two very separate lives. The trailer then cuts to Vision, who is also taken aback by the possibility that his son might survive beyond Wanda’s hex.
The show sees James Spader return as Ultron. The actor played the villainous AI first in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Paul Betanny will be playing the role of White Vision, a facsimile of Vision who has the original hero’s memories but was commissioned by S.W.O.R.D. Ruaridh Mollica will play Tommy Maximoff/Thomas Shepherd. The series will also feature Orla Brady, Emily Hampshire, and James D’Arcy in important roles.
Marvel’s VisionQuest is set to stream on Disney+, with its first two episodes arriving on October 14, 2026.
