What happens in the A Course Called Ireland trailer?
The trailer follows Bill Murray and Tom Coyne as they begin their Irish golf adventure. Murray reflects on his connection to the country, saying, “I always look forward to coming back. It’s where we come from. Feel at home.”
However, golf is only part of the journey. The group also takes part in several activities during their travels. The footage shows them attending sporting events, singing, playing cricket, fishing, and riding horses. These moments give the trip a more relaxed and spontaneous feel as Murray and his companions explore the country.
Murray shares his appreciation for the country during the trip, describing Ireland as “a special spot bubbling out of the ocean.” The footage pairs his comments with scenic shots of the landscape and more candid moments from the group’s travels.
The series also focuses on the friendship between Murray and Coyne. The trailer describes its premise as, “If you really think about what the show is, it’s two friends on a golf adventure in Ireland,” capturing the simple idea behind their journey.
A Course Called Ireland consists of six 30-minute episodes that follow Murray and Coyne across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The series will premiere globally on Paramount+ on October 25, excluding Latin America and the UK. In the UK, it will air on BBC Two, BBC One Northern Ireland and BBC iPlayer.
