‘Billy the Kid’ Season 3 Trailer Sees Tom Blyth Make His Final Stand!! Check It Out!!

After a one-year hiatus, MGM+ is finally ready to bring Billy the Kid back for a third and final season. Today, the streaming platform unveiled some important information about the new episodes, including an overview of the season, the release date of each episode and, most important of all, a trailer for the upcoming Season 3. The series is set to return on September 28, and you can check out the trailer in this article.

As fans probably imagined, the new season of Billy the Kid will show the aftermath of the Lincoln County War. Once again, Tom Blyth (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes) reprises the title role as his character decides to settle his feud with Sheriff Pat Garrett (Alex Roe) once and for all. Additionally, Jesse Evans (Daniel Webber) will try to find purpose in his life after a life of sin, while Dulcinea (Nuria Vega) tries to convince Billy to leave New Mexico for good and start a new and happy life.

Billy the Kid is created by Michael Hirst, a writer and producer who is an expert in bringing epic and historical stories to life. He previously worked on The Tudors and Vikings. From the looks of it, Hirst is bringing the story to a close with a bang, and the show’s tagline promises that the outlaw will become legend — which is another way of saying that we will finally see some traces of his infamous persona that is credited with killing dozens of people.

‘Billy the Kid’s Final Season Will Be Even Bolder

In an official statement, the Head of MGM+ Michael Wright spoke about the final season of Billy the Kid and teased what fans can expect to see in the new episodes:

In Season 3, we are excited to bring the naturally cinematic story of one of American history’s most fascinating, and often misunderstood, characters to its conclusion, as only MGM+ can. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to write the third and final season of Billy the Kid and bring this compelling saga to a close. Billy was famous for many things, not least his ability to escape from seemingly impossible situations. But now, as the Most Wanted Man in America, the odds are truly stacked against him.

Along with the new information, MGM+ also underscored that, after Season 3 starts rolling out, there will be a one-week break on October 26 — which means no episode on that day. After that, the show will have a slight change in its schedule, airing at 10:00 pm ET/PT instead of 9:00 pm for the final four episodes of the series.

MGM+ debuts Season 3 of Billy the Kid on September 28.
