After making his franchise debut in Fast X several years ago, Jason Momoa just delivered a devastating update on the final Fast & Furious movie. Momoa stars in Fast X as the primary villain, Dante Reyes, the son of Hernan Reyes, who vows to exact revenge on Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his family. Dante survives the end of the movie, and he is expected to be back in the final Fast & Furious movie. The film does not have an official release date, and it isn’t likely to get one anytime soon.
Momoa recently sat down for an interview to talk about his new Apple TV+ series, Chief of War, and he was asked if he had anything new to share about Fast & Furious 11: “I would love to come back and play, man. People all around the world love that character — it’s crazy.” Dante Reyes became something of a cultural phenomenon upon the release of Fast X, which grossed over $700 million at the global box office. He continued, “But I got no script, so not that soon.” If Fast & Furious 11 does indeed have plans to begin filming soon, Momoa would likely have already read a script by now.
It was complicated enough to get Fast X to the big screen, considering its massive roster of talent, but Fast 11 will be an even taller task, considering the new and returning stars. In addition to the core family members, who are all expected back in the final franchise installment, both Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham are also expected to star in Fast 11. The two previously teamed up for Hobbs & Shaw, the F&F spin-off movie that debuted in 2019.
Jason Momoa Is Strengthening His Ties With Another Major Franchise
Jason Momoa was no stranger to the DC franchise due to his tenure as Aquaman, but now that the company is in the hands of James Gunn, he’s taken on a different role. Momoa will make his DCU debut as Lobo in Supergirl, which is coming to theaters on June 26, 2026. Gunn has already debuted the first poster and looks at Milly Alcock’s Supergirl in the film, which wrapped production earlier this year. This leaves plenty of time to make sure Supergirl has the visual effects to be a worthy follow-up to the beloved Superman.
