Mike Flanagan’s next big horror television show has received an exciting update.
Flanagan is known for creating a number of popular Netflix horror shows, including 2018’s The Haunting of Hill House, 2020’s The Haunting of Bly Manor, 2021’s Midnight Mass, 2022’s The Midnight Club, and 2023’s The Fall of the House of Usher. As far as movies go, Flanagan has helmed titles such as 2013’s Oculus, 2016’s Hush, 2016’s Ouija: Origin of Evil, 2017’s Gerald’s Game, 2019’s Doctor Sleep, 2024’s The Life of Chuck, and more.
Last year, it was announced that Flanagan was making a new Carrie show, based on the 1974 Stephen King novel of the same name, for Prime Video. Production on the project began this past June.
What did Mike Flanagan say about the Carrie show?
On Instagram, Flanagan announced that Carrie has now wrapped production. In his post, he referred to it as one of his “favorite projects ever.”
“Our last day of filming on CARRIE,” he wrote. “This has been one of the best experiences of my career, one of the very best ensembles I’ve ever worked with, and already one of my favorite projects ever. Cannot wait for you guys to see what we made.”
