The Bear last aired in June 2025, with all episodes of Season 4, and the following month, the award-winning drama was renewed for a fifth season. A premiere date for Season 5 has yet to be announced, but if it follows in the footsteps of previous seasons, which have been released in the final week of June over the past four years, then this summer could see the show return. While we await an official announcement, there’s been an interesting update regarding the new season, recently shared by a fan-favorite.
Jamie Lee Curtis, who plays Berzatto matriarch Donna in The Bear, a role she has brilliantly performed since the show’s debut in 2022, marked the end of filming for the upcoming season. She took to Instagram with an image of herself and her onscreen daughter, Abby Elliott, on set, alongside a statement sharing the good news and unexpectedly hinting at when The Bear would officially end.
“FINISHED STRONG!” the 67-year-old actress penned. “Surrounded by an extraordinary crew and group of writers and producers and scene partners on the show that [Christopher] Storer created, completing the story of this extraordinary family that we have all fallen in love with. Got to finish it out with my baby Berzatto bear.” This allegedly confirms The Bear Season 5 could be the dramedy’s last run, and even several fans expressed their curiosity in the post’s comment section. But do stay tuned for an official confirmation.

Storer also serves as writer, director, and executive producer of the series with Josh Senior, Joanna Calo, Cooper Wehde, Tyson Binder, series star Matty Matheson, Hiro Murai, and Rene Gube also executive producing.
