Prime Video unveiled a new trailer for Blade Runner 2099 at New York Comic Con. The preview offers a glimpse of the next chapter in the iconic sci-fi franchise and introduces new characters.
Blade Runner 2099 is an upcoming limited series created by Silka Luisa. All eight episodes will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on November 25, 2026. A third installment in the Blade Runner franchise, the series serves as a sequel to the eponymous 1982 original film and the 2017 reboot, Blade Runner 2049.

What happens in the Blade Runner 2099 trailer?
Blade Runner 2099 is set fifty years after the events of Blade Runner 2049. The series returns to a futuristic Los Angeles.
The trailer introduces Michelle Yeoh as Olwen. Although she is assigned to hunt human insurgents, Olwen is also searching for a missing Blade Runner. Meanwhile, Hunter Schafer plays Cora, who forms an uneasy alliance with Olwen to track down the runaway.
The preview showcases the breathtaking futuristic atmosphere that Blade Runner fans are familiar with. The collage of vignettes features some of the most visually striking and intriguing moments from the series.
The official synopsis of the series reads, “Cora, a fugitive in a final bid to stop running, takes on one last identity: a Blade Runner. Forced to partner with Olwen, a Replicant days from dying, she hunts down a runaway hiding a truth that could collapse a fragile city.”
In addition to Yeoh and Schafer, Blade Runner 2099 also stars Dimitri Abold, Lewis Gribben, Katelyn Rose Downey, Daniel Rigby, Johnny Harris, Amy Lennox, Sheila Atim, Matthew Needham, Tom Burke, and Maurizio Lombardi.
Silka Luisa serves as the showrunner, creator, and executive producer of the series. Ridley Scott, who directed the original 1982 film Blade Runner, also serves as an executive producer.
