‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’ Season 4: New BTS Image Confirms the End of Norman Reedus’ Run!! Check It Out!!

It’s a bittersweet day for fans of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. Cameras are officially being put down on the fourth and final season of The Walking Dead offshoot, which, on the brightside, means that the last chapter is one step closer to coming to a screen near you. On the other hand, it also marks the final time (for now) that Norman Reedus will play the iconic personality from the undead universe — a role that he’s appeared in for 15 years. Taking to social media to share his excitement, gratitude, and a little bit of sadness with his dedicated following, Reedus shared a close-up side profile along with a message, writing,

“Last filming day today for daryl dixon. It’s been such a joy for me to play this guy with all of u for this long. I feel really blessed. Truly. Thank you all really from my heart”

It’s been just about one month since the penultimate season of Daryl Dixon aired on AMC and with it comes plenty of questions that fans are hoping will be cleared up in the next batch of episodes. This time around, the pair at the center of the story — Daryl (Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) — found themselves adrift in Spain. Building new relationships, friendships, and helping a group of survivors in need, the duo faced down demons from their past and continued on on their journey to get home. Unfortunately, the act of returning home was blown out of the water (literally), when the ship they’d been building all season long was destroyed in the episode’s final moments.

What Lies Ahead In Season 4 of ‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’

For now, it isn’t abundantly clear where Season 4 of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon plans to go, but it’s obvious that — at least for the first few episodes — the two primary characters will be in Spain. Audiences will remember that prior to the ship’s explosion and throughout the third season, Daryl and Carol have plenty of conversations about Daryl’s urge to always leave and never stay in the same place for too long. Teasing that this is the fabric that will weave itself throughout the final installment, Reedus recently told Collider’s Christina Radish:

“That’s the whole epicenter of Season 4, in a nutshell. That dialogue was introduced later. After all the scripts for Season 3 were written, that was introduced there to set up Season 4. That was my idea, actually. It was always in the back of my head, as Norman. It’s a huge part of Season 4. Season 4 is really good. It will be different again. It’s totally different.”
